Facebook is a wonderful tool for both personal and business use. It has many features which allow you to personalize your Facebook experience.

One of the features that allows you to further enjoy Facebook is, Facebook Apps.

Facebook apps are very similar to applications that you would have on your mobile (cell) phone or your computer, there are apps that are games, tools and pretty much everything you could think of.

However most Facebook apps promote themselves by posting to your wall without you having any input. These apps are called “self replicating applications” now like I’ve mentioned, not all apps do this, but the ones that do can be quite annoying to both you and your friends.

There is a simple way to make sure this does not happen though. When you activate and app there is a box that appears that asks if you give permission to the app to do certain things, one of which is to post to your wall, Like so.

To stop the app posting to your wall just click “Don’t Allow” then try to find an app that does the same thing but does not request permission to post to your wall.

Now I know that these apps do these to get more people using their app but there are plenty of apps out there that promote themselves in other ways and I’m sure you could find one to do anything you like without wanting to post to your wall.
